Who we are

Clausly is a document analysis service operated by Dominik Mikuš. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@clausly.com.

What data we collect

  • Document text (temporary): When you upload a PDF or paste text, we extract the text content and send it to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. We do not store the original document or its text — it is discarded immediately after analysis completes.
  • Analysis results: The AI-generated summary, red flags, and questions are stored temporarily so you can access them via your results link. Results are automatically deleted 24 hours after generation.
  • Payment data: Payments are processed by Mollie B.V. We receive a payment confirmation and store a Mollie payment ID. We do not see or store your card number or banking details.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

We process your data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing document text and storing analysis results to deliver the service you requested.

Data retention

  • Analysis results: deleted 24 hours after generation
  • Payment records: as required by applicable accounting law (typically 7 years)

Third-party services

  • Anthropic, Inc. (USA): Document text is sent to Anthropic's API for AI analysis. Anthropic processes data under their Privacy Policy. Data transfer to the USA is covered by Anthropic's Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Mollie B.V. (Netherlands): Payment processing. Mollie is an EU-regulated payment institution. See Mollie's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase, Inc.: Database and infrastructure provider. Data is stored in EU regions.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. Because we collect no email address or account information, the most practical way to exercise these rights is to contact us at privacy@clausly.com with details that allow us to identify your records (e.g. your results URL).

Cookies

We use one functional cookie (clausly_locale) to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
